Monday, December 15, 2008, at 18:00, at the ISA - Fire Prevention Institute, will take place the exhibition of contemporary art Global Footprint - indelible ink. Footprints of the art, edited by Daniel ARZENTO.
The event brings together nearly three hundred national and international artists, is the last stop before the end of the auction proceeds will be donated to the Grandmothers of Plaza de Mayo ", in order to support their project" Blood Bank and laboratory research on the genetic DNA, which is necessary to find the missing children of the disappeared, torn political opponents during the dictatorship and Argentina never recovered. The exhibition
indelible ink. Footprints of the art was presented for the first time in 2003 at the Macro - Museo d'Arte Contemporanea in Rome. This exhibition is of great value that has been highly successful, becoming a true work in progress. In recent years, in fact, increased significantly the number of works and parts of the exhibition has traveled throughout Italy and abroad.
The theme of the exhibition takes its cue from the debate some time ago on the fingerprint requirements for immigrants, to extend more broadly to the theme of the instruments of control in contemporary society. On these issues were involved cultural figures, entertainment, opinion leaders, political figures and spontaneous public, who have given their "contribution" on canvas by impressing their fingerprints. Among the characters who have "donated" their footprints: Nobel laureate Lech Walesa, the singer Vasco Rossi, the Roma captain Francesco Totti, the critic Maurizio Calvesi art, the Honorable Massimo D'Alema, the director Michelangelo Antonioni, the actress Claudia Cardinale, are just some of the more than five hundred known names. Following some 300 artists, among the most talented in the international scene, having completed the work, leaving their "indelible artistic impression, through your own language: photography, video, sculpture, installation.
The exhibition, the curator Daniele ARZENTO explains: "It is a path that winds passing through a return to art and a provocative reference to personal identity and values \u200b\u200bof tolerance."
All those who participated in this event have not only thought about how to make a theme, have rather chosen to join an initiative that exposure occurred from the beginning as the construction of a small movement to support, expression, historical memory, with respect to a series of events that reflect individual and collective conscience of our time.
The event, organized by the cultural Horti Lamiani Betti, by Hybrid Contemporary and Joseph Ussani of Escobar, is supported by the Fondazione Internazionale Don Luigi di Liegro and the Province of Rome. Department IX - No. 3 service "Immigration and Emigration."

I make a reportage of the spirit "whose images are not the
reproduction of a social condition observed from the outside, but the representation of the look of
those who live in discomfort, from the inside.
"The apparent duality: we are all connected and there is no way to call out the
suffering of other beings is our suffering. If we look in depth
realize that we are all nomads and refugees, in passing on this earth to
search for our true home. Fabio Marazzi
For several years he composes his works favoring
multiple exposures ...: more shots superimposed. Here it goes much further, up to 50 shots on
same frame. We are in the field of natural forcing extreme limits of the medium ...
. It 's a real
manipulation of reality through the lens optical camouflage duplicated, extracted by hand from the truth of
some details out of context, then catapulted into a new field: the image that comes
.... By providing perspective and dimensional inconsistencies, deceptions
eye, dancing on the thin ridge that separates the waking from a dream ...

left us two nights ago, after falling ill during a concert against racism and the mafia held at Castel Volturno in soliderietà Roberto Saviano. had 76 years and has gone as he lived: fighting all injustices and discrimination.
Miriam Makeba, Mama Afrika known for his work against apartheid, which in its South Africa for decades has relegated millions of "tan" in conditions of slavery, was born in Johannesburg, 4 March 1936.
Singer Jazz and World Music, for his political commitment was forced into exile until the end of apartheid and was delegated to the United Nations.
Famous throughout the world, is considered a living legend and left us with unforgettable songs such as the famous Pata Pata, Malika, The Click Song, etc.. He began his career in the '50s with the group Manhattan Brothers, with whom he began to be known abroad.
In 1959 he won the reputation for the musical King Kong, followed by films dealing with the issue of apartheid and countless publications record which make it one of the most respected artists on the international scene. Many international institutions, including UNESCO, the reward and recognize his immense stature as an artist and a woman committed to peace and justice. Miriam Makeba
heavy leaves us a legacy: to continue his fight for a fairer world and for the dignity of all human beings. To us the daunting task of not disappoint and make his figure continues to be a bugbear for all the scoundrels who sow hatred, discrimination, hunger and death to satisfy their greed unbridgeable.
below shows an interesting interview with Miriam Makeba Miriam Makeba
, the greatest interpreter of African music and a symbolic figure of the fight against apartheid, tomorrow is the Carlo Felice in the Universal of jazz.
Ms. Makeba, how would you define your music?
I sing and I do not poses the problem of how to define my music. When in the sixties I went to the Monterey festival said they did jazz because jazz comes from Africa, then when I sang with Harry Belafonte spoke of folk. I sing my music and let the other definitions.
Today is all the rage the term world music. What do you think?
two thousand years that there is a world-music ... all music is from the world. It will not be rather a way not to say that music is from the Third World?
She is known as "Mama Africa". What it means to be a symbol of culture and the struggles of blacks?
entire continent on my shoulders? It weighs too much. No, I do not believe to be a symbol. People just shows me all his sympathy and his affetto.Nelson Mandela: a friendship of long data.Il our first meeting dates back to the Fifties, at the time I sang with in Manhattan Brothers. When he was freed I immediately phoned and told me I had to return to South Africa, which have been away for over thirty years. Our first embrace, however, occurred in Stockholm, because I was still in exile.
know the Italian music?
little, but I really love De André that I all disks.
and Pavarotti?
I remember when he came to sing in South Africa with the three tenors. A great concert.
As his music changed during your career? Do not know. I sing always new reasons even if I must make the best-loved hits from the public.
Like the famous "Pata Pata"?
Memo: now that song has become almost an obsession for me.
Since 1999 she is an ambassador of the FAO, which has dedicated the song "Masakahane. Can you tell us about this activity?
It 's a role I hold with great characters of the show as Gina Lollobrigida, DD Bridgewater, Gilberto Gil, Youssou N'Dour, Gong Li. In 2001 I was in Mozambique, a country affected by severe flooding, and in the same year I toured for FAO in Spain and Jamaica. In those years, my image has exposed the organization to feed on important international journals and a few months ago I opened a center near Johannesburg for girls in need.
E 'never been tempted by political career?
I received several bids and proposals in respect of applications, but my role is to cantare.Il world is increasingly shaken by terrorismo.E 'a big problem, however, before which we must go back to the roots and be careful to exploitation: remember Nelson Mandela was branded as long as terrorist by the South African government. Violence in any case must always be rejected, because the expense is also the common people.

documents to prove it could be the final solution to one of the mysteries that has always been passionate fans of the Beatles: Eleanor Rigby who was the song? The answer may lie in a note dated 1911, which shows a payment made to a cleaning lady, "and Rigby, who worked at the time in a hospital in Liverpool, which co-sign the receipt. A woman who, like the song, never married and died alone.
That document was given in 1990 by Paul McCartney himself (the author of the song, although John Lennon claimed years after he co-authorship) Annie Mawson, owner of a group that uses music to help children with problems, asking him something to raise funds. The Mawson had told McCartney that among the musicians who use a curative intent was "Yellow Submarine." Now Mawson, leader of the "Sunbeam Music Trust, has decided to auction the paper will be sold Nov. 27 in London, and is expected to star price, more than 500,000 pounds to fund a center for music therapy.

member of the Historical Pink Floyd, Rick Wright died of cancer the age of 65. Wright was one of the founders of the British band in 1965 along with Nick Mason, Roger Waters and Syd Barrett.
Richard William Wright was born in London on July 28, 1943 from a wealthy family. After a few past the London College of Music, he enrolled at the Faculty of Architecture, where he met two future members of Floyd, Roger Waters and Nick Mason. Along with Barrett founded one of the most important bands of all time. The composition of vein
Wright has contributed songs to epic and far-reaching as A Saucerful of Secrets, Echoes and Shine On You Crazy Diamond. But the most commercially successful tracks signed only by the keyboard are two historical pieces: one taken from Dark Side of the Moon (1973), The Great Gig in the Sky, and another, Summer '68, by Mother AtomHeart 1970.
Keyboardist and singer was fired after several disagreements with Floyd by Roger Waters at the time of The Wall in 1979. Back into the group in an official capacity in 1987 during the sessions of A Momentary Lapse of Reason, when it was David Gilmour at the helm.
BIOGRAPHY Born into a wealthy family in the district of Hatch End to London, as a teenager he entered the London College of Music, and there he has his first encounter with the music. Forget your piano lessons after just two weeks. Later he enrolled at the Regent Street Polytechnic School of Architecture. He meets Roger Waters and Nick Mason , but soon abandoned his studies to pursue his passion for music. In 1965 the three, along with Syd Barrett , founded Pink Floyd. After the release of
Syd Barrett, Wright became the composer's melodic group. The similarity of his voice with the guitarist who replaced Barrett, David Gilmour is used to create special effects in some songs.
Although not prolific as his fellow Waters and Gilmour, Wright has contributed substantially to the same wide-ranging and epic, such as A Saucerful of Secrets, Echoes and Shine On You Crazy Diamond. His most successful pieces of trade are two songs on the album Dark Side of the Moon (1973 ): The Great Gig in the Sky and Us and Them, but also "Keep talking" comes from "The Division Bell" (1994).
be remembered among his compositions are certainly Sysyphus album Ummagumma ( 1969) and Summer '68 album Atom Heart Mother ( 1970).
The Pink Floyd album that has increased its contribution is certainly Wish You Were Here. There is hardly a place where there is this album, background, the carpet Wright Music. His is also the music-in which uses three-synthesizer sounded simultaneously which ends the album, played alone without the participation of the other three.
After some personal problems related to their personal lives (divorce), and probably also to excessive use of cocaine (which is always denied by the applicant), Wright was sent off by Roger Waters during the recording of The Wall (1979). Continue to play the next concert 1980 and 1981 promoting the album, but only as a salaried musician even if it must be emphasized that in all cases the final greeting was always present with the other Floyd. Ironically, Wright was the only one to gain economically from the concerts, since the costs - as well as his pay - had to be paid by other group members.
next album, The Final Cut ( 1983), is the only one that Rick Wright, now permanently excluded from the group, does not contribute. Despite this, he and drummer Nick Mason are the only members of the group to have played at every concert of Pink Floyd, The Final Cut place had no promotional tour.
In 1984 he formed a group with Dave Harris, the Zee . After signing a contract with Atlantic Records , Zee's released their first and only album, Identity .
Following the complete failure of the album, Wright was absent from the group since the concerts "The Wall" of 1980-81, was called by Gilmour to help out during the closing session of "A Momentary Lapse of Reason" [1987] (Waters has now left the group for four years), working on some tracks of 'album. Is reinstated as a full member of the group with the album Delicate Sound of Thunder ( 1988), a double that selects between the material recorded at concerts of the tour following the album. The album
next Division Bell (1994), writes and sings five songs Wearing the Inside Out, certifying his personal artistic rebirth to lofty levels.
Encouraged by the decisive contribution to The Division Bell, in 1996 Wright released his second solo album, Broken China, where among the guests appearing talents as Sinead O'Connor, Pino Palladino and Tim Renwick . The album was not commercially successful, but in time it was really re-evaluated, so that a song of this album was included in the lineup of the few Gilmour concerts in 2001-2002.
In 2006 Wright returns to the studio to collaborate with Gilmour on the third solo album of the latter, On an Island playing on two tracks. The album will have a critical and commercial success of raggiugerà really noisy and the No. 1 in many countries such as Italy and the United Kingdom. The next tour of David Gilmour, Wright has participated as a permanent member giving the bottom of all the harpsichord and its repertoire and to contribute in terms of vocal performance, illuminating the scene with his sensitivity. The tour has been very successful in all dates. Witness the experience and stature of the Wright Music is its tour DVD released in Italy September 14, 2007. From the point of view
instrumental Richard Wright in the history of Pink Floyd has built the "wall of sound" beyond which stood out on his epic solo Gilmour. Extraction of jazz, has managed to evolve until you enter in a natural environment and a psychedelic sensibility really unparalleled. His moments
levels may be considered for the entire first two album, the riff repeated body of Atom Heart Mother , synthesizer laden with effects Any color you like, along with those of almost obsessive Welcome to the machine and Dogs, Sheep the intro, the round of Hammond in Pigs (Three Different Ones) and part of the album's keyboard The Division Bell. His undisputed masterpieces, including in the composition, are undoubtedly the wall of sound and the intro to Echoes , the whole sound portion of The Great Gig In The Sky , the plan Us and Them, synthesizers Shine on you crazy diamond .
As lead singer of Pink Floyd has always provided support sporadic but thick, often as part of agreement. Her best vocal performances are certainly recognizable in the songs Echoes, Time , "Burning Bridges" and Wearing the Inside Out . Also notable is his vocal performance in the live version of Arnold Layne , Floyd's first single, revived in 2006 by David Gilmour in ' On An Island "tour.
Richard Wright died suddenly September 15, 2008, after a brief fight against cancer.

Tina Vann Margutta RistorArte submit to the personal exhibition of Antonio Del Donno, organized by the Horti-Lamiani Betti, edited by Giorgio Calò.
The exhibition presents a selection of works by the artist made from the sixties to today. .
In the society of the spectacle that could "burn the signs and gestures more meaningful," Antonio Del Donno - Italian artist "modern classics", as defined by Achille Bonito Oliva - changes signs in the message. The medium, the canvas becomes message through words, gestures and phrases informal bays on bright colors that become channels. And, entirely consistent with, is the outlet of the painting of the first Del Donno in the collage, then in the graphics, and finally in a search based on the rapid consumption of the visual object. To confirm this visual poetry the use of contrasting colors, violently dissonant, where the brush is sometimes stronger, sometimes less.
is precisely the infinite variety of colors to catch the eye of the public: the color, with vibrant brushstrokes, it becomes the same subject. But the line has a key role in the painting of Del Donno. After cinqunata years of his artistic research is still dominated by the line drawn with the same energy and lived always looking for new languages. In none of Del Donno (except photographs) appear human figures. In fact his works are popolatre of people: it is the viewer himself, who receives and consumes the work through the signs, phrases, colors, gestures that appear before ."... In the work of Del Donno no indulgence to the citation and the remake, there's quite the pick-up and rebuilding, as when we use an old tool or an abandoned object and adapt it to new uses "(Filiberto Menna, 1987).
"Antonio Del Donno moves from one location, which tends to incorporate in their operation and the evidence of the phenomenal world and a possible subsequent measurement. The materials used are wood, plastic and others from industry. He organizes everything so as to make the container of light, which is encased in structures and then returned through the thin plastic plates that allow the excess. The entire organization responds to a criterion which tends not only to bring about a cover-up newspaper space by highlighting the shapes resolved according to an aesthetic attitude, but also a constant challenge of governing the urban space. "(Achille Bonito Oliva)
Many critics and art historians have dealt with the work, forty years, Del Donno. Just to name a few: Filiberto Menna, Mirella Bentivoglio, Achille Bonito Oliva, Elio Galasso, Nico De Vincentiis, Silvio Zanella, Antonio Petrilli.
Antonio Del Donno
Antonio Del Donno was born in Benevento on 11/27/1927. He attended the Technical Institute for Surveyors in the years 1945/50, was only interested in the technical design and architecture and he cared for so lovingly that he discovered the beauty in geometry. He decided to attend the Academy of Fine Arts of Naples, and it was there that he felt encouraged by all that watched and takes up the excitement, he knew immediately that this was the way to go and that the design was his life, to the amazement of his father, Nicola Del Donno, perfect bureaucrat as an official of the Prefecture, and the joy of his mother, Anita Ferrelli, which like all Ferrelli felt love for art. After completing his studies at the Art School of Naples, he obtained the chair of Art Education at the School of Media Vitelli Benevento. The isegnamento allowed him to devote himself to a lot of availability. In the years 1960/70, he began to frequent the Galleria Lucio Amelio in Naples, together with Mimmo Paladino, the only friend with whom he exchanged ideas, emotions and research. Both, in fact, were interested in learning the new culture that is breathed in that time: total rejection of everything that was author, academic rhetoric. Both are always present at all conferences, debates, exhibitions of famous European and American artists, remaining involved emotionally. Curiosity prompted him to learn to travel abroad. The Venice Biennial of 1964 was decisive for him, there he met his arrogance, and the chance to experience the joy of Rauschenberg, which he used in his paintings carry the camera, objects, and connected it all with a violent stroke dealt with in turn by De Kooning, Pollock and other gestural painters of that time. Del Donno has always had a language, a form of expression consistent with his gestures, and a love for photography. Rauschenberg, Tapies, Widow, Schifani, Warhol, were his teachers, has pulled out its roots, helped him find himself. The building, feel like a craftsman manipulating the iron, wood, is something that carries childhood. From wheelchairs to scooters, now, to make objects related to art. Here is how come the "Gospels", tables of recovered wood glued and incerniate with iron hinges and with letters of fire reported Gospel verses to denounce a state of affairs. Del Donno was a liberating act, as it was a trap to have achieved the greatness of 'man, wanting to give a check against state power, "his autobiography." In fact in all his work there is a social problem, a beyond all political ideologies - religious, there is above all the pleasure of the game that contains the charm of the shapes and lines in harmony with each other, where the simplicity and spontaneity prevails.

EU Mediterranean Summit
MSF calls on all participants to improve reception conditions for migrants arriving on European shores
07/11/2008
Brussels / Rome, July 11, 2008 -
At the launch of the 'Union for the Mediterranean " planned for Sunday in Paris at the Summit of the European Union, the medical humanitarian organization Medecins Sans Frontieres (MSF) asks participants to urgently improve the reception conditions for migrants arriving on the southern shores of Europe.
Since 2000, MSF has provided medical humanitarian assistance and health monitoring of emergency landings of migrants who reach the European coast. MSF is very concerned about the conditions of these people and calls on all states concerned to ensure that they provide minimum standards of reception. MSF asks that Member States do not limit their cooperation with the Mediterranean partners for the sole control of the borders, but also improve reception conditions for migrants in accordance with international law and also to ensure access to asylum procedures, in addition to the provision of medical support.
"Increased controls and surveillance are not holding back those who are trying to reach Europe," said Antonio Virgilio, Head of Mission for MSF in Italy. "These people are fleeing from war, hunger and extreme hardship: the only option is to take that perilous journey. So now face greater risks, traveling in small boats and makeshift and for more days than in the past. In 2008 , our medical teams in Lampedusa have found that migrants need more medical care than ever before. Many arrive in a poor state of shock, with fever and burns to the sun, because of the harsh conditions in the long sea voyage. "
The MSF team in Morocco noted that the increase in border controls along the coasts of Morocco and Spain has had a significant impact on migration routes. As a result, are increasing travel aboard boats from southern Mauritania and Senegal to the Canary Islands and making their journey longer and more difficult.
To meet the needs health of migrants, MSF has developed in recent years emergency medical programs on the coasts of several countries: Spain (Tarifa, Ceuta and Melilla and the Canary Islands), Italy (Brindisi, Lampedusa), Morocco and Greece. As the agency international medical aid, the need for MSF to be present at the entry points of Europe is a factor indicative of the lack of adequate medical care currently available for these migrants.
the Italian island of Lampedusa, MSF provides initial medical screening for those who arrive on boats. An average of 12-15 thousand people visiting the island each year, but the regional health authority does not guarantee any of these services.
This year, MSF medical teams in Lampedusa have been a significant increase in the number of people who arrived on the island. Between January and June 2008 there were 146 landings, compared to only 71 in the first half of 2007. The MSF teams in Lampedusa have also noted a change in the type of people addressing the trip by boat: there are more women (+11%) and children (+4.6%) and currently over 30% of people are coming from Horn of Africa, from countries at war such as Somalia.
Even for Greece may be confirmed by a significant increase in the flow of migrants than in years past. For example, in the detention center of the island of Lesvos, the number of cases recorded in the first five months of 2008 was more than double the total number of arrivals during 2004.
As in Italy, in the detention center near the port of Patras greek, the MSF medical team has new changes in the population of migrants coming: a predominantly Kurdish to almost exclusively Afghans.
The people who come from countries at war should be considered as potential asylum seekers and the arrival of migrants should also be provided to them proper information on asylum procedures. Last year, Greece alone received more than 112mila undocumented migrants. Yet, for a total of about 25 thousand asylum applications, only eight were granted refugee status.

Red Bridge Card Reader
Taranta festival 11-12-13 July 2008 Auric Augusta theater Basel-
In the first century C., the highest authority in the Roman architecture, Vitruvius, he supposed that his predecessors knew very well how to design a theater to emphasize the human voice. "Following the rules of mathematics and the method of music, they made sure that the voices from the scene is spread more clearly and sweetly to the ears of the audience ... structuring the theaters in full agreement with the science of harmony, the ancients could to increase the power of voices, "wrote Vitruvius.
later writers have assumed that the excellent acoustics of Epidaurus, built in the fourth century BC C., may be due to the prevailing wind (which blows mainly from the stage to the audience), or it could be a general effect due to the rhythm of the greek theater particular speech or the use of masks that acted as speakers. Such use was widespread in the Roman theater. But none of these explanations explain why a modern theater, still occasionally staged, can be heard very clearly on a day devoid of wind.
It is assumed that the response could be related to the way sound is reflected from the corrugated surfaces. A striking example of this kind is given by the surface steps of a Mayan ziggurat in Mexico, or Metaponto, where the hand-clapping or the steps of a person play a sound similar to the chirping of birds or rain that falls. Scholars have calculated how the files stone seats to act on the reflection of sound, discovering that the lower frequencies of 500 Hz are damped more strongly than at higher frequencies.
Every transformation of a concept in a formal sense as a genuine and fruitful leads conseguenzauna new conception of the whole field that is dominated by it and orderly. "E. Cassirer
from direct surveys and engineering controls and scientific, meticulously redone every time the system performance theater, has come to a revision of many traditional assumptions correnti.Indubbiamente, the pattern of work, goals assumptions, the tools used to review and replace one type seemingly untouchable and now universally described and located in the history of classical architecture and in the more specific, the theatrical form, calls for much thought and forces, such large thoughts.
If we wanted to gloss Cassirer's phrase, we should point out that actually play the new proposition of the type for the conceptual implications of their morphology, involves a reinterpretation of the structure across the board, forcing us to rethink not only the issues constructive, but the same geometrical reasons for the choices. Would want to use, with technology, the concept expressed by Russell in ' Principia Mathematica ', with the definition of propositional function: it is a question not an opinion of value, but a paradigm to bring a class of judgments. The organization of space is not only dramatic and biunivocally result of the use patterns of the underlying functional classes, but, instead, is mainly linked to the symbolic relationship between representation and participation. The result is a quality organization of the entire territory of the performance of duties attached to the system that sees the figures interactive actors, for those looking demiurgic and intentionality of the text: the formal complexity that follows is a direct consequence of the equally complex functional, because the distribution of the object is commemorative of the distribution of ideas and the impact of those civilians. The general form of the function, which may appear at first in curvilinear paths in the risers to mount the stairs, not the image is transposed to the different variables of the conception of the theater, the project structure generally understood, but is a representation of the variable linkages between the various parameters of the destination and use. Basically, it's as if the space could take, from time to time, a number of qualities that derive from the primitive elementary functions and meanings that specific action would have required the actors and spectators. Thus, compared the age-old question of direct dependence on buoyancy morphological's intended use, so often imposed by the modern movement as a causality of First Instance, the analysis of the test (not even consistent in its parts and complicated, but in its total reconstruction) urges us to say that there is a clear distinction between the concept as a form and its content, ie between the idea of \u200b\u200btheater as a cultural entity and the object as a structure operating theater. Among the functional and formal object and the configuration used the same run, therefore, many logical connections, not all consistent, so it is not true that the technologies are the design and use of categories of users so direct: the choices are rather large and random, unclassifiable in a rigid concept synergy between form and function, because class space is not physical but conceptual. Tempted to return and transfer architecture, the themes advanced by a philosopher of science - though late follower Kant - that special insight, which is always here and now, is not the basis from which the ' abstraction that leads to the concept, as this intellectual production, but it also has an extremely important role: it is the catalytic element. That is precisely why the original intuition particular, although the quota, the application of concepts you already have or to produce new ones.
are reflections of those who, for years, is trying to read in a non-triumphalist, nor foolishly pessimistic, the role of technological culture in the definition, structure, use and transformation of spaces for men. Antonio Infantino
Gorky: "He is an artist who, working on their own subjective impressions, she sees a general objective meaning and express in a form convincing."
