The event brings together nearly three hundred national and international artists, is the last stop before the end of the auction proceeds will be donated to the Grandmothers of Plaza de Mayo ", in order to support their project" Blood Bank and laboratory research on the genetic DNA, which is necessary to find the missing children of the disappeared, torn political opponents during the dictatorship and Argentina never recovered. The exhibition
indelible ink. Footprints of the art was presented for the first time in 2003 at the Macro - Museo d'Arte Contemporanea in Rome. This exhibition is of great value that has been highly successful, becoming a true work in progress. In recent years, in fact, increased significantly the number of works and parts of the exhibition has traveled throughout Italy and abroad.
The theme of the exhibition takes its cue from the debate some time ago on the fingerprint requirements for immigrants, to extend more broadly to the theme of the instruments of control in contemporary society. On these issues were involved cultural figures, entertainment, opinion leaders, political figures and spontaneous public, who have given their "contribution" on canvas by impressing their fingerprints. Among the characters who have "donated" their footprints: Nobel laureate Lech Walesa, the singer Vasco Rossi, the Roma captain Francesco Totti, the critic Maurizio Calvesi art, the Honorable Massimo D'Alema, the director Michelangelo Antonioni, the actress Claudia Cardinale, are just some of the more than five hundred known names. Following some 300 artists, among the most talented in the international scene, having completed the work, leaving their "indelible artistic impression, through your own language: photography, video, sculpture, installation.
The exhibition, the curator Daniele ARZENTO explains: "It is a path that winds passing through a return to art and a provocative reference to personal identity and values \u200b\u200bof tolerance."
All those who participated in this event have not only thought about how to make a theme, have rather chosen to join an initiative that exposure occurred from the beginning as the construction of a small movement to support, expression, historical memory, with respect to a series of events that reflect individual and collective conscience of our time.
The event, organized by the cultural Horti Lamiani Betti, by Hybrid Contemporary and Joseph Ussani of Escobar, is supported by the Fondazione Internazionale Don Luigi di Liegro and the Province of Rome. Department IX - No. 3 service "Immigration and Emigration."
