MERANO
Exactly 50 years ago, in July 1958, the United States arrived in Merano Ezra Pound, one of the greatest poets of the last century. The anniversary will be celebrated in Merano with a show in which students will recite his daughter, Mary de Rachewiltz and two grandchildren Patrick and Siegfried de Rachewiltz. In Merano Pound settled immediately in the castle of Brunnenburg, just below Castle Tyrol where for many years the principles of Tyrol ruled these lands, both north and south of the Brenner.
To celebrate this anniversary, the small town of Merano Theatre presents the performance / recital "Attendance. Ezra Pound in Merano. Unique elements and original 'event is the fact that the' preview of the show, scheduled for Saturday, September 27, will take place just Brunnenburg.
